Ho Lam Tsui was born and raised in Hong Kong; she is a tailor, model, and an artist in making. After moving to New York in 2016, she graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2020 during the midst of the pandemic. Once a designer, Ho now works as a CAD artist while resuming her own art making in her free time.
Prior to being in New York, Ho holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Hong Kong. This allowed her to view the city in a broader horizon, critically analysing the developments of culture and political changes throughout her upbringing. During her studies in Parsons majoring in fashion and minoring in arts, she thought to make art in art mediums did not satisfy fully her craving for purpose and functionality in her work.
Her thesis "無言以對 (mo yin yi dui)"- translates to Tongue Tied, transformed her attitude in making; still holds a significant place in her heart, she is expanding the metaverse capabilities of this now on-going project. The recent years of Hong Kong have made much impact to Ho and like-minds like her to decide what it means to be where they're from, and what they can give back to their home. "Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life" a quote from Oscar Wilde. With this in mind, the vision is to unite through art despite the challenge of voicing real opinions without consequences - to carefully dread the discussion of morality and ethic in hopes for a more self-awared future.
